Recapture specializes in re-styling vintage gowns for the modern bride. Most gowns are made with precious materials and laces that are difficult to find in today’s market. My goal is to re-create a dress to fit and flatter your figure and your style while preserving the beauty and integrity of the materials. With a wide variety of gowns from Victorian to the 1970’s, a bride is able to choose a design and style that is unique to her personality and her figure.

Because of the delicacy of most of the fabrics, dresses may be tried on by appointment only.

During an appointment I help the bride with a selection of gowns keeping in mind the style of wedding, the location, her figure and most of all her personal style. Next, we brainstorm on various alterations (“re-styling”) that could be made to enhance the best features of the dress as well as the bride.

My wonderful seamstress Eva has worked with me for over a year and has become very skilled in re-modeling our fine vintage dresses. If you have your own seamstress that you would like to do your alterations you are more than welcome to do so. We offer this service for those who do not.
